Detta är nämligen världens mest använda melodi, alla kategorier: La folia. Guardame las Vacas (eller "La romanesca" som vihuelisterna också kallade den) bygger på detta tema (precis som den lika populära Harpfantasin). Det finns dessutom tusen och åter tusen versioner på detta tema, allt från Corelli, de Visée, Marin Marais, Vivaldi, Rachmaninov, Ponce, Sor. Llobet, Giuliani etc i all evighet. Dessutom finns det hundralats (eller tusentals?) folkmelodier från alla europeiska länder som bygger på detta tema.

Med tiden tror jag de flesta av oss har kommit att förknippa sången med Narvaez arrangemang men det bör väl inte hindra att man fortsätter att använda sången som bas för improvisationer?
